Mark Pearce

Partner

Mark Pearce is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Liquidator and Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy.  Prior to establishing Pearce & Heers in 2002, Mark worked for 10 years in insolvency with a number of firms including one of the Big Four accounting firms and a large national Chartered Accounting firm.

Mark specialises in providing advice and assistance regarding options other than formal insolvency appointments.  As part of this process Mark acts for numerous clients each year to assist them achieve better outcomes than liquidation or bankruptcy.

During his 30 year career Mark has also worked on a number of large corporate engagements including voluntary administrations and liquidations of both listed and unlisted companies and all types of other insolvency appointments.

By virtue of his expertise and experience Mark is well placed to oversee the management of Pearce & Heers.

Andrew Heers

Partner

Andrew Heers is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy and has a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in accounting.

Andrew has more than 30 years experience as an insolvency accountant and particular experience with bankruptcy-related matters including Section 73 proposals, Personal Insolvency Agreements, real estate sales and legal claims.

Andrew is also the partner responsible for administering the Members’ Voluntary Liquidations conducted by the firm. He has performed many Members’ Voluntary Liquidations ranging from small private companies to large unlisted public companies.

Michael Dullaway

Partner

Michael Dullaway is a Registered Liquidator and Chartered Accountant.  He has over 20 years experience managing corporate and personal insolvency appointments and also providing advice and assistance to clients in financial difficulty.

Michael’s experience spans all industries including building and construction, hospitality, transport and consulting.  He has worked on a number of large corporate engagements including both listed and unlisted companies and all types of corporate insolvency appointments.

Michael also specialises in assisting clients with Small Business Restructurings to assist with managing ATO debts and he has carried out numerous of these types of appointments.

Jody Ross

Principal Toowoomba & Darling Downs

Jody Ross is the Principal of Pearce & Heers’ Toowoomba Office which services the Darling Downs area, including Toowoomba, Warwick and Dalby.  She has worked in the Darling Downs region as an insolvency practitioner for nearly 20 years and during that time has helped numerous clients with formal and informal insolvency arrangements to manage their debt problems.

As a long standing member of the community, Jody understands the challenges facing local small businesses and she is able to provide professional advice and assistance to accountants, business owners and individuals who require assistance.

Johanna Bond

Senior Manager

Johanna Bond is a Senior Manager at the Pearce & Heers’ Brisbane office.  She is a Chartered Accountant and is currently completing the Advanced Certification with the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) and earned the highest mark for the QLD division in 2025.

Johanna has over 10 years’ experience in the insolvency industry and manages all types of insolvency appointments including Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Small Business Restructurings and Bankruptcies and Part X Personal Insolvency Agreements.

Matthew Simpson

Senior Manager

Matthew Simpson is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA), with nearly 20 years of experience in insolvency, forensic accounting, and financial investigations.

Matthew has managed a broad range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, including Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Small Business Restructurings and Bankruptcies.  His experience spans both the private and public sectors, including time at a Big 4 accounting firm, where he worked on the largest administration in Australia’s history, Virgin Australia, and the largest ATO fraud case in Australia’s history, Plutus Payroll.

Matthew returned to Pearce & Heers in 2025 as a manager, having previously worked at the firm from 2009 to 2019.

Anthony Perricelli

Senior Manager

Anthony Perricelli is a Senior Manager at Pearce & Heers’ Brisbane Office.  He has over 20 years of corporate and personal insolvency experience across a diverse range of industries. He has also previously gained more than 15 years’ corporate experience as a financial controller in various business industries.

During his career Tony has managed a broad range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, including Liquidations, Voluntary Administrations, Small Business Restructurings and Bankruptcies.  Recently he has specialised in administering Small Business Restructuring appointments Small Business Restructurings to assist with managing ATO debts and he has carried out numerous of these types of appointments.

Anthony provides a professional, clear, and empathetic approach to assisting people experiencing financial distress and seeks to provide them with appropriate solutions. He is enthusiastic about helping people and always strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for stakeholders.

Maya Towers

Insolvency Accountant

Maya has worked in a number of roles for business and government before commencing at Pearce & Heers.   This experience has helped Maya quickly progress her career as an insolvency accountant.

Maya carries out various tasks on all types of insolvency appointments, however, she specialises in administering bankruptcy and liquidation appointments.
